Local Charity Run
Bullseye were asked if they would come along and give their support at the local LB1 bar in aid of the Cot Death charity. The weather treated us well with a decent gathering of members and their trusted scooters. Today must have been Lambretta day as there wasn't a Vespa to be seen. Hopefully our presence helped the public to spend a few coppers to support a worthy cause.
Thank You to all members and visitors that came along and waved the Bullseye flag.
Deckchairs at Dawn 2012
The weekend brought a visit to Brighton sea front for Deckchairs at Dawn, around 30 members and friends met and rode through the town taking in the admiration of local's and tourists with their camera's. Numerous motorbikes and scooters descended on the front for a nowadays more sociable gathering. Various creations were on display being admired by both parties and old friendships were reunited. As the day came to a close we rode back through the town and retired at a local watering hole for a BBQ. Another good day out had by all!
The yearly voyage across the Solent took place over the bank holiday weekend to attend the Isle of Wight scooter rally. Members descended over the island to set up base at various locations. The weekend was spent admiring fellow scooterists treasures and catching up with old friends. Evenings were spent taking in the music and chatter at a selection of watering holes and dining facilities. The majority of members joined the clutch burner ride out on the Sunday finally gathering at Sandown Rugby club. Everyone arrived and returned safely ready for the next venture.
RedHill Steam Fair 2012
The annual pilgrimage to The Redhill Steam fair took place over the weekend. Glorious weather over the days saw many historic veterans arrive to stir the memories! One being our own Phil who celebrated his #?th Birthday with a few pints and a reminiscent sing-along in the marquee.
Various members attended over the weekend along with visiting scooters from other clubs popping in to say hello.
Good weekend, Good company, Good Memories - Bullseye SC
The annual pilgrimage to Camber had arrived and a good gathering of members and friends descended on the quiet town of Rye. Pleasant run down with only one scooter running out of breath. A trip back home for one member and the spare scooter was heading down to the campsite.
Chalets sorted, ring pulls at the ready, let the weekend begin! Weather turned out to bepretty good as we moved the wooden bench to chase the sun around the site, music and friendship a plenty with the usual Bullseye banter making everyone laugh.
Bit of a wet ride back for some but a great weekend was enjoyed.
Well done to all !
Queens Diamond Jubilee 2012
Great day had today celebrating the Queens Jubilee at Horsham's street party. The party celebrated the past decades across the town with Bullseye being invited to share in the 60's themed areas. Great music on hand and as usual great company.
Brilliant support shown for the club with members turning up on their polished steads and dressed in their 60s regalia to take part in the days activities.
The club was joined by a couple of them rocker boys on their cafe racers to complete the scene (thanks chaps).
As ever good to chat with members of the public and reminisce of days gone by, well done to all that could make it.
The annual Boxhill ride out took place Sunday 22nd April, well attended as usual even with the threat of looming black clouds. Members met at The Greyhound and ventured off to our breakfast stop at Redhill Aerodrome, pallets refreshed and Boxhill was calling. A nice ride across country taking in a puncture on the way, we arrived early to watch fellow scooterists arrive on their steed's. After photo's and pleasantries were exchanged we headed to Godalming for a visit to the local watering hole whilst the rain came down. A break in the weather saw us head for home after another enjoyable day. See you all again soon KTF
A bright sunny day started off the new season and London was calling. A blow out and dodgy rear hub was the first hurdle to climb but thanks to the team spirit and dedication of the clubs members we were soon on our way to the smog.
A brief meeting with fellow scooterist's at the London Eye and off to Carnaby Street for a spot of lunch, a visit to the obligatory watering hole on the way home refreshed us for the teething breakdowns on the ride back. Thanks to all the members that helped to keep the old machines on the road. (and their scooters)
A great day was had by all, let the season begin!
Shoreham Dogs Trust Run 2012
A fresh start to the day saw the first ride out of the year for Bullseye, well attended meet at the chalet for a quick cup of tea then onto Brighton to meet up with fellow scooterists. The sun was shining when 100+ set off from the Volks to ride along the seafront to the Dogs Trust based at Shoreham. Racks loaded with bedding/food and toys for the dogs at the base. Good to see so many considerate colleagues on their bikes.
A return to Brighton for an ice cream and the well earned drop in to a local watering hole on the way home. A good day had by all, roll on the next venture !
